Men's Derby

Men's Derby is taking off.

OSDA teams Hooligans, South Jersey Deviants, Man's Ruin and Richmond Derby Demons are working on a some big events and games coming up.

Diamond City Death Kings are playing a bunch of games and are one of the few east coast leagues playing both MDC and OSDA rules.

Teen Wolf of the NY Shock Exchange and NJ Dirty Dames was injured in a recent public scrimmage. Please donate.

For those that haven't heard, TeenWolf, is scheduled for surgery for multiple leg and ankle fractures from the New York Shock Exchange bout in Chicago last weekend.

Not only does he have to lay off the skates for a bit, but he has some monster hospital bills to pay for, and no insurance to pay for them.

Anything helps.

Throwdown in the Sound

OSDA to participate in “Throwdown in the Sound” Men’s Tournament
January 30, 2008

The OSDA is excited to confirm that we will be attending the Throwdown in the Sound Men's Tournament scheduled for Saturday, March 8th, 2008 in Tacoma Washington.

At the invitation of the event organizers, OSDA will be making a presentation during the Rules Summit where we hope to further clarify the differences between OSDA Rules and others. We are preparing for an active Q & A session following the presentation.  Our goal is simply a better understanding of our rules. OSDA is also planning to schedule a Training / Coaching Scrimmage to show OSDA rules in action.During the tournament, OSDA will be hosting a table where we will have Handouts, Rule Books and information about all things OSDA. There will also be a door prize drawing for new OSDA Merchandise! OSDA appreciates this opportunity to participate at the Throwdown in the Sound, and we have chosen three of our very best to make it happen.



Judy Sowinski (aka "The Polish Ace and The Queen of Mean") has had a long and colorful professional Roller Derby skating career. She is a deserving member of the Roller Derby Hall of Fame and currently functions as the OSDA Manager/Coach/Trainer for the Penn Jersey She Devils along with Warriors great Arnold "Skip" Schoen.Judy was featured this past week on the cover of the SPORTS SECTION of the Philadelphia Enquirer...heres the link to the article:

Cherry Bomber (aka Rachelle Lee) is the Co-Captain and lead jammer for the Sadistic Sweethearts, a core team of the Penn Jersey She Devils. She regularly jams for the travel and All Star teams. She is intimately familiar with OSDA rules and strategies and skates like a bat out of hell!

Bobby Carnage (aka Rob Wyatt) is the Team Captain of the Hell City Hooligans, one of the few guys who have had the chance to skate one-on-one with their female counterparts in a public scrimmage!  He also has the distinct designation of being one of three existing OSDA Certified Referees. Watch for him on the individual Men’s team!

Roller Derby Hall of Fame

Skating for a Cure Charity Bout

Do you love breasts? We think you do!

In order to support the fight against breast cancer, the Penn Jersey She Devils are hosting an event you've never seen before!

For this event only, the She Devils are inviting their team of male skaters (the Hell City Hooligans) to join them on the rink!

That's right- you'll see two co-ed teams go at it in the first bout of its kind!

Portions of all proceeds are being donated to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Central and South Jersey:

* 10% of ticket, merch, & concession sales
* 100% of raffle & 50/50 sales

Representatives from the organization will also be on site to provide literature and answer questions.
